Teletype Equipment

Can you remember the big hulabaloo about Office Automation. I can remember stacks of boxes in the corridors waiting to be sent to missions, all wrapped up with the term "Automated Office" stenciled on every box. What great fun it must have been opening all these wonderful presents and only finding a load of teletype gear. As communicators we spent so much time working long hours with this equipment, I am not quite sure whose definition of automated was being used. Like the term 'paperless office' made promises that were never kept.
